Pulling Together: Indiana Grottos Unite for the 2026 Plane Pull Challenge

Have you ever wondered what it takes to move an airplane with nothing but teamwork, grit, and a whole lot of heart? This summer, Prophets from across Indiana are coming together to find out — and they're doing it side by side.

The Indiana Grottos are proud to be part of the 2026 Plane Pull Challenge, and this year carries a special spirit of unity. Members of Darius, Merou, Kerman, Sahara, and Mahrage Grottoes are joining forces to form one powerhouse team, representing the very best of who we are.

One Rope, Five Grottoes, One Family

There's something fitting about it: an event that's literally about pulling together has become a celebration of the Fraternal unity that defines the Grottoes. Brothers from every corner of the Hoosier State — from Darius to Merou, Kerman to Sahara to Mahrage — will stand shoulder to shoulder, hand over hand on the same rope.

When these Prophets line up on August 8th, they won't just be representing their individual Grottoes. They'll be representing the strength of Indiana Grottoes as one family. It's a powerful reminder that what unites us is far greater than any line on a map, and that when we combine our efforts, there's nothing we can't move — not even a multi-ton aircraft.

This is the kind of moment that defines our Fraternity: Prophets choosing to lift together, pull together, and win together.

What Is a Plane Pull?

For the uninitiated, the Plane Pull is exactly what it sounds like — and it's every bit as exciting as you'd imagine. Teams line up, grab the rope, and race to pull a real airplane across a set distance in the fastest time possible. It's a test of strength, strategy, and team spirit, and there is nothing quite like the roar of the crowd as a team heaves an aircraft into motion.

But for our Indiana Grottos team, it's about more than the clock. It's about showing what brotherhood looks like in action.
